HOW TO STAY ON BRAND: VIDEO

I sat down with Christina Kluttz of MAK Media Team to discuss how video is a powerful tool for your brand whether you are using your iPhone or investing in a professional video.

WE DISCUSSED...

  1. How to start with video when you are uncomfortable with it

  2. When to invest in video

  3. The types of videos to start with when you do hire a professional

  4. The 3 questions she asks clients before creating a video

WE ALSO SHARED OUR 3 TIPS:

Christina’s 3 Tips for Filming with an iPhone:

  1. Always use your natural light source. Face a window.

  2. Consider the lines and props behind you and where you are placed in the frame. You don’t need to take up the entire frame!

  3. When filming b-roll footage, make sure your camera is steady and the objects you are filming are moving instead of panning a room or an object.

Eloise’s 3 Tips for Video for All Brands:

  1. If you are investing time and money to create a video you should think of 5 ways you can share it across your website, social media, email marketing, advertising, and events.

  2. Get a tripod that holds a phone with a ring light from Amazon for steady videos.

  3. If you are gathering content for your brand/business - invest in a phone with a strong camera. It is worth it.
